Strong Arms Focus

When we talk about strong arms, what we really mean is strong lats, strong pecs, and strong abs. Your stroking arm is an anchor that your lats, pecs and abs use to move your body past that point in the water.

Technique Focus Points

  • Stay in the front Quadrant. When focusing on the arms be careful not to start the catch or pull too early in the stroke cycle.
  • Keep the elbow bent. Do not resort to straight-arming the stroke.
