Basic Strength Training

Most people should be doing strength training year round, one to three times per week. If you want to train and compete with less chance of injury, and your want to swim, bike or run faster, you need to develop and maintain strength. If you are training for an endurance event, and you do not include strength training in your schedule, you will lose strength and speed, and increase your chances of injury.
