The CAS client is a lightweight software agent. It is usually installed on a database server system, but it can be used to monitor changes on any supported operating system. CAS shares configuration information with S-TAP, though each component runs independently of the other. Once the CAS client has been installed on the host, you configure the actual change auditing functions from the Guardium appliance management portal.
