SwimFit Strength training for swimmingProgram Overview:This is a weekly "dryland" swimming workout to develop coordination, balance and strength for swimming. It is suitable for swimmers of all ability levels. For non-swimmers, it provides an excellent foundation from which swimming skills can be developed. Video will be used to evaluate movement quality and provide feedback. Functional Movement Screen (FMS): The program includes two separate 30-minute functional movement screens with the instructor - one before, and one following the program. Equipment: May include free weights, TRX suspension straps, cables, stretch cords, medicine balls, and various aerobic equipment for warming up and cooling down. Your Equipment: Sneakers, comfortable workout apparel, water, and a sense of humor. Instructor: Bill Steele - Swim Coach (ASCA), Triathlon Coach (USAT), FMS Specialist, Personal Trainer (NASM) Workouts: 60 minutes, once per week, 6 weeks Registration: See the program schedule below to enroll in a program and schedule your functional movement screens. |
