Longer Strokes Focus

In swiming, longer strokes are better.

Technique Focus Points

  • Lengthen. Long strokes start by getting to full extension after your hand enters the water.
  • Catch, then Pull. Keep your stroke long by keeping the catch and pull separate.
  • Finish. Find the sweet spot for your stroke length (between finishing too short or too long).
